Rebec RE120 4-Channel Class AB Amplifier
Product Overview
The Rebec RE120 is a 4-channel Class AB amplifier designed to provide increased power output while maintaining the characteristic sound signature of the RE Series. Combining a traditional Class AB amplifier architecture with stable power delivery and low distortion performance, the RE120 is developed for car audio systems that require both musicality and output capability.
With 120W RMS per channel at 4Ω and bridge capability up to 460W × 2, the RE120 offers additional headroom compared with the RE100 while preserving the same overall tonal character.
Key Features
• Class AB amplifier design
• 120W × 4 RMS @ 4Ω
• 200W × 4 RMS @ 2Ω
• 460W × 2 bridged output
• Frequency response from 20Hz to 35kHz
• Signal-to-noise ratio >98dB
• THD+N ≤0.01% (1kHz)
• Variable low-pass filter (40Hz–350Hz)
• Power transistor output stage
Design and Engineering
The RE120 utilizes a Class AB amplifier circuit with a power transistor output stage. The amplifier is designed to provide stable operation across a wide operating range while maintaining low distortion and consistent signal reproduction.
A low-level input range of 0.35V to 10V allows compatibility with a variety of audio sources, while the built-in low-pass filter provides additional flexibility during system integration.
The amplifier is housed in a larger chassis compared with the RE100, supporting its increased output capability and power handling requirements.
Sound Performance
The RE120 is characterized by a warm, mellow, and full-bodied sound signature while maintaining brightness and energy. Its presentation combines musical warmth with a lively and dynamic character, allowing vocals and instruments to be reproduced with natural balance and good presence.
Compared with the RE100, the RE120 delivers higher output capability and a more energetic presentation while maintaining the same overall sound quality and tonal character associated with the RE Series.
Product Positioning
Within the Rebec RE Series lineup, the RE120 is positioned above the RE100, offering increased power and dynamic capability while retaining the same sound signature. It is designed for systems that require additional output without changing the musical character that defines the RE Series.
