Rebec WL10 Passive Subwoofer
Product Overview
The Rebec WL10 is a 10-inch passive subwoofer from Rebec’s Hi-End Series, developed for car audio systems that require higher power handling, greater low-frequency authority, and improved dynamic performance. With a 350W RMS power rating, dual 4Ω voice coils, and an 18mm Xmax design, the WL10 is positioned above the M-Series subwoofers within the Rebec product lineup.
Designed around Rebec’s philosophy of natural music reproduction, the WL10 is engineered to deliver strong low-frequency support while maintaining balance and musical integration within the audio system.
Key Features
• 350W RMS power handling
• Dual 4Ω voice coil design
• 18mm Xmax for increased excursion capability
• Reverse low-pressure molded composite pulp cone
• Modified butyl rubber surround
• 75mm voice coil
• Large 180mm ferrite magnet structure
• Suitable for sealed and ported enclosure applications
• Recommended for use with high-power mono amplifiers
Material Characteristics
The WL10 utilizes a reverse low-pressure molded composite pulp cone designed for subwoofer applications requiring high excursion and stable low-frequency reproduction. Combined with a modified butyl rubber surround, the driver is able to maintain control during demanding bass passages.
A 75mm voice coil and large 180mm ferrite magnet assembly provide increased power handling and motor strength compared with the M-Series models, supporting higher output capability and improved driver control.
Sound Performance
According to the Rebec product brochure, the WL10 is designed to deliver full low-frequency reproduction, solid bass strength, full timbre, and an open sound field.
Positioned above the M10 and M12, the WL10 is described by Rebec as providing greater punch and impact. Its larger motor structure, higher power handling capability, and increased excursion allow it to deliver a stronger low-frequency presentation while maintaining control.
With a frequency response extending down to 18Hz, the WL10 is suitable for systems that require deeper bass extension and greater low-frequency authority.
The WL10 can be paired with high-power amplifiers such as the Rebec ES2S (bridged mode), A1200D, A1800D, or D1200 to build a dedicated low-frequency system.
Design Philosophy
The WL10 was developed as part of Rebec’s Hi-End subwoofer range for enthusiasts seeking increased low-frequency performance beyond the M-Series. The design combines higher power handling, larger motor components, and greater excursion capability to support demanding audio systems while remaining faithful to Rebec’s focus on natural music reproduction.
